Select a heading below to see its settings.
Movement Settings
- Camera Position (X Y Z) — Adjusts camera position (padlocks freeze positions).
- Follow Distance — Distance that the camera will follow a tracker.
Damping Settings
Damping adds “delay”: higher numbers → slower reaction.
- Pitch / Yaw Damping — vertical / horizontal rotational delay.
- X / Z Motion Scale — exaggerate or soften subject motion.
- Position Damping (X Y Z) — per-axis delay for position.
Lens Settings
- Dynamic FOV — auto-zoom to keep trackers in frame.
- FOV Damping — responsiveness of that zoom.
Roll Settings
Camera Roll — manual tilt.
Curve Mode (enabling)
- Tick Enable Curve.
- Choose a Curve Object. FlexCam will then follow the curve path.
Curve Settings
- Path Offset — slide along the curve (animatable).
- Empty Position Offset — Offsets camera from curve.
Viewport Settings
- FOV Zoom — how much of the viewport the tracker fills.
- Frame Offset (X Y Z) — Controls position offset of viewport.
Advanced Settings
- Follow Rotation — locks camera offset to tracker rotation (great for drift shots).
- Ignore Rotation for FOV — stops rotation influencing Dynamic FOV.
Pause / Resume Tracking – Manually Pauses/resumes camera tracking.
Bake Camera / Clear Bake – Keyframes camera movement for rendering. Note: camera should be baked before final render to avoid stutter issues
5. Rendering multiple cameras
Batch-export every FlexCam view in one go with Blender’s Multi-View system:
- Open Output Properties ▸ Stereoscopy, tick Stereoscopy, set ➜ Multi-View.
- In the Multi-View list press + for each camera.
Rename the Suffix field to your camera's suffix.
- NOTE: Remember to bake cameras before the render so motion is locked.

6. FAQ
| Q | A |
| Does FlexCam work with rigs? | Yes. Add a tracker, then pick a bone in the tracker list. |
| Can I keyframe the sliders? | Absolutely — right-click ➜ Insert Keyframe. |
| Can I track multiple characters? | Yes, just add trackers to each character. |
7. Limitations
FlexCam updates the camera in real-time. However Cycles, was not designed around this. Cycles updates the scene every camera movement which, when paired with FlexCam’s design, causes the scene to resample while in rendered view.
If you’re previewing in rendered view, it’s often best to Pause Tracking.
